Sharing Their Joy of Making Art
Steve grew up in New Jersey and studied illustration at Pratt Institute, where he met Christine, a teacher and artist. After graduating he did corporate illustrations for companies such as: AT&T, Sony Films, and the New York Times Book Review. Steve then went on to design buttons that were acquired by the CooperHewitt Design Museum. He has since published several children’s books with various publishers, including Builders & Breakers; Have you Seen My Lunch Box, Black Bird Yellow Sun and Whiskers Hollow: Road Trip.
Christine Cincotta’s first passion is pottery and creating hand built clay sculptures. For the past few years, she has been working in watercolor. Christine is a Kindergarten teacher and she loves sharing her passion
for art with her students. When she is not teaching she is drawing or painting or helping Steve with his children’s books.
The Steve Light Scholarship
