John Hazard co-creates the popular diary comic, BACKGROUND NOISE, with his partner in life and love, Lisa Burdige. John spent over a decade creating art for Nickelodeon, including game design for the online virtual world “Nicktropolis” and animation for the TV show “ROMEO!” As a freelance illustrator, he’s drawn picture books, magazine covers, and comics for businesses. His other original comics include SCHMOOZE OR LOSE, an award-winning newspaper strip, and FRANKENSTEIN SUPERSTAR, currently rebooting on Webtoon. He taught for years at the Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. He lives in Brooklyn with his muse and his massive collection of Star Trek toys.
