Andrea Beatriz Arango

Andrea Beatriz Arango is the author of Something Like Home and the Newbery Honor Award-winning Iveliz Explains It All. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, but now lives in New Orleans, LA, where she balances her day job as a teacher with writing the types of children’s books she wishes students had more access to. When she’s not busy teaching or writing, you can find her enjoying nature in the nearest park or body of water.
